A Survey of Christianity in 21st Century Ukraine NEW SITE: Up-to-date information is now maintained at the Religious Information Service of Ukraine website at www.risu.org.ua.
Over 97% of the religious communities now registered in Ukraine are Christian. About half of these communities are of the Orthodox tradition. The other half is divided among Catholics and Protestants. According to official terminology the three major Orthodox jurisdictions and the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church belong to the category "traditional Churches."
